While we also weave royal manufactory or Mughal Darbari quality carpets
our entry level bespoke hand-knotted rugs, created by master-weavers
in villages around Lahore, are woven to the following specifications:
100% virgin Ghazni wool pile
Durable double wefted fabric with
Around 64 knots per sq. inch,
a palette of upto 8, small-batch hand-dyed colours
maximum one quarter repeat design
and pure ivory cotton foundation

NOTE: The table below is only a rough guide to costs excluding shipping. As there are certain basic expenses involved in bespoke rug making which are largely independant of size the minimum costing for a bespoke rug in the entry level knotting density is for size 6ft x 4ft. We do make smaller rugs but costing is for 6ft x 4ft.

To help you better visualize the final carpet this includes the cost of an 7"x 8" sampler.
In keeping with the traditions of the craft, we do small batch hand-dyeing only, so slight
colour differences between carpet and sampler can occur.

 

PERSONALIZED INSCRIPTIONS

These made to order carpets may carry a standard inscription woven into the fabric, giving our signature and
if you like the date of manufacture . Personalized texts of your choice, your own name and
other details can also be added to this for a straight charge of US $ 100. Total inscription, including
weaving information not to exceed one sq.ft. of carpet area. A 50% deposit will confirm your order.

We specialize in making carpets in structurely authentic weaves to ensure complete harmony of design, dyes and weave.

Please ask for rates of rugs woven to other specifications like vegetal or natural dyeing;
woollen, pure silk foundation and pile; other knot counts and exotic weaves etc.

DELIVERY TIME: minimum 6 months from receipt of confirmed order.
